Importantly, you will drive optimisation through automation, modern architecture, and engineering best practice to improve performance, lower operational overheads, and enhance cost‑efficiency.

Beyond data, you will lead a high‑performing engineering team by spanning platform, data, and MLOps engineers and creating an environment where innovation thrives and excellence is the standard. 

You’ll champion a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning, ensuring the team has the skills, support, and motivation to deliver high‑quality solutions at pace.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll provide technical mentorship and guidance, helping engineers elevate their craft, adopt modern practices, and progress confidently in their careers.

About You

Degree qualified, you will demonstrate a minimum of 7 years' experience in data platform engineering, cloud architecture, or AI infrastructure roles. 

You are expected to possess expertise in cloud-native Data and AI platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft Fabric, IBM Watsonx).
